History repeating itself
Today's Android-based E-Reader/Tablet announcements remind me of the early 1980s and all of the not-quite compatible PC clones. Most of the vendors didn't make it. Anyone remember Eagle PC and Columbia PC ?
Chris has been working with technology for 33 years, starting at "Byte Shop", back in the "home computer" days. He has a Business degree from U of I Urbana, Il, and his career includes 24 years at IBM in technical marketing -- harnessing the power of "itty bitty machines" against the databases of "big iron". IBM's Sales School taught him about the value of superb customer service, and he has held technical certifications since 1994.
In business for himself since 2004, Chris has been delighting residential and business users with onsite technology services and timely advice on how to get the best values from today's technologies -- including free stuff. He is constantly updating his "best practices" in security, backup, and other areas, which are regularly passed along via client visits, newsletters, and presentations. Chris describes his job as "half technical and half relieving anxiety". He's fond of telling clients and prospects "Once things are setup properly, you can't break anything I can't fix", and "The only dumb question is the one you DON'T ask".
